WOMBAT BIG PUGGLE SMALL

About the Book

Wombat Big, Puggle Small by Renée Treml is a charming children's board book featuring two Australian bush animals: a young wombat and an echidna puggle. Through playful rhymes, simple contrasts and gentle illustrations, the book introduces young children to the idea that animals can be different while still enjoying time together.

The story follows the little wombat and puggle as they play, explore and discover things they have in common. The simple language and rhythmic text make it well suited to reading aloud with babies, toddlers and preschool children.

Learning Through Opposites

Wombat Big, Puggle Small uses comparisons such as big and small to introduce early concepts and word pairs. The Australian bush setting also gives young readers an opportunity to become familiar with native wildlife, including wombats and echidnas.

Renée Treml both writes and illustrates the book, combining playful storytelling with detailed artwork inspired by Australian animals and nature.
