Time for Adventure, Daddy

About the Book

Time for Adventure, Daddy by Dave Hackett is a playful picture book about a little girl who wants her busy dad to put his daily chores aside and join her for an outdoor adventure. When Daddy would rather stay home and finish his jobs, she encourages him to get ready, head outside and enjoy a day of exploring and picnicking together.

A Father-Daughter Adventure

Told from the little girl's perspective, the story turns the usual parent-and-child roles around in a humorous way. Her determination to get Daddy outdoors creates a light-hearted adventure that celebrates imagination, family time and the simple pleasure of being outside.

Family, Nature and Connection

The story highlights the close relationship between fathers and children while encouraging young readers to appreciate nature, outdoor play and shared experiences. Humorous illustrations complement the playful text and help bring the father-daughter adventure to life.
