About the Book

Me and You by Niccolò Ammaniti is a compact coming-of-age novel about loneliness, family secrets, and an unexpected connection between two siblings. The Story

What begins as Lorenzo's attempt to escape from other people gradually becomes an intense encounter between two outsiders within the same family. As the siblings confront one another, they begin to reveal personal struggles and family secrets that Lorenzo has never fully understood.

Ammaniti keeps the story focused on the changing relationship between Lorenzo and Olivia, exploring adolescence, isolation, family relationships, vulnerability, and the complicated ways people seek connection.
