Everyone on This Train Is a Suspect by Benjamin Stevenson

Step aboard the Ghan, Australia’s famous train travelling between Darwin and Adelaide, for a murder mystery where every passenger has something to hide. Everyone on This Train Is a Suspect by Benjamin Stevenson is the witty follow-up to Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone, featuring amateur detective Ernest Cunningham.

Ernest has been invited to a crime-writing festival organised by the Australian Mystery Writers’ Society. Surrounded by bestselling authors and celebrated crime writers, he hopes to find inspiration for his next novel. Instead, the journey takes a deadly turn when one of the writers is murdered.

With the train journey unfolding across four days, the remaining authors must put their knowledge of detective fiction to the test. But when everyone understands the tricks of the murder-mystery genre, identifying the killer becomes far more complicated.

Packed with clever clues, unexpected twists, dark humour and playful references to classic detective stories, this locked-train mystery keeps readers guessing until the end. It is an excellent choice for fans of crime fiction, psychological suspense, whodunits and entertaining detective novels.
